DAKSHINĀCHĀRA (Dakṣiṇācāra), Skt., lit. dakshinā: “right,” āchāra: “custom”; in Hindu Tantrism, a pure ritual (in contrast to other, darker Tantric practices), referred to as “right-hand practice.” In Hinduism, the right hand is reserved for pure actions; impure actions may be carried out with the left hand alone.
